About

Passion & purpose driven.

I build things at the intersection of behavioral health and technology. My path hasn't been linear, but every step taught me something essential about what this industry needs.

Jason Brumback - CEO & Co-Founder, Navix Health

I'm Jason Brumback — a CEO, entrepreneur, author, and someone who genuinely believes that technology can make behavioral healthcare better for everyone involved: the clinicians, the operators, and most importantly, the people seeking help.

My career started far from healthcare. In commercial real estate, I learned how to build, negotiate, and think in systems. But it was my transition into behavioral health — working as a counselor — that changed everything. I saw firsthand how outdated tools and fragmented workflows were burning out the very people trying to save lives.

That frustration became fuel. After co-founding The Resurface Group and spending years in the trenches of behavioral health operations, I built Navix Health — a unified platform that brings AI, CRM, EMR, and RCM together in one system designed specifically for this industry.

Today, I spend my time leading Navix Health, writing about the intersection of healthcare and technology, and sharing what I've learned about building companies from scratch. I'm also the author of For the Love of Therapy, a book about the passion and purpose behind this work.

This site is where I share my thinking — daily briefings on business and the economy (just the facts, no political spin), deep dives into AI and healthcare technology, stories from the behavioral health world, and honest lessons from entrepreneurship.

The journey.

Early Career

Commercial Real Estate

Started my career in commercial real estate, learning the fundamentals of business, negotiation, and how to create value. These years gave me a foundation in operations and deal-making that would prove essential later.

2016

Entered Behavioral Health

Made the pivotal decision to transition into behavioral healthcare as a counselor. Working directly with clients gave me a front-row seat to both the incredible work being done and the systemic inefficiencies holding the industry back.

2018

Co-Founded The Resurface Group

Partnered with Ari Drosman and Mike Boyer to build The Resurface Group, combining over 22 years of experience in the behavioral health space. This deepened my understanding of what operators need to run effective facilities.

Present

CEO & Co-Founder, Navix Health

Frustrated by fragmented, outdated software, I set out to build the platform I wished existed. Navix Health combines AI, CRM, EMR, and RCM into one unified system built specifically for behavioral health. We're working to reduce burnout, improve outcomes, and bring the industry into the modern era.

Author

For the Love of Therapy

Published my first book exploring the passion, challenges, and purpose behind working in the therapy and behavioral health field. Available everywhere books are sold.

What I believe.

Technology should serve people

Not the other way around. Every feature we build at Navix starts with one question: does this make a clinician's day better?

Facts over narratives

In business, in healthcare, in politics. The world is complex enough without manufactured spin. I write to inform, not to persuade.

Build from experience

The best products come from people who've lived the problem. I was the counselor frustrated by bad software before I became the CEO building better software.
